you are
truly
and
wholly
beautiful
surely you know
pray
tell me
what is
Truth
when all pretense
is stripped away
torn off
for our pleasure
what is left
of or for you
as you nakedly
dance
before our lord
what is right– eous
when the cross
you bare
will be used
to bear you home
oh Trinity
i ask again
what is
Truth
amongst the cheers
of the drunken
masses
perhaps the real
Truth
trumpets through
the cities
walls
as the Sun
hangs
over us all
oh Trinity
the birth
of our
salvation
lies
in your hands
as we watch
transfixed
blood drunk
and
bread filled
as your final
moments
span
an eternity of days
oh Trinity
it may be
in order
for something to be
True
then it must be
universally True
oh Trinity
if that is the WAY
of it
then surely
in the darkest of hours
there burns
an infinite
number
of possibilities
oh Trinity
if that is the WAY
of it
then surely
the brightest of lights
only becomes
visible
when we
let our guard
down
and
with arms
open wide
we choose to
embrace them
all
oh Trinity
if that is the WAY
of it
then surely
as our flesh
and
our lives
are
torn
and
tossed
aside
like a burial shroud
for
the newly risen
we
will
ALL
keep on singing
