Perseid

What are we doing?
Do we have any idea?
Do we even care?
Have we become like these stars that we now observe?
Are we just hurtling mindlessly?
Are we burning ourselves up?
Is this just some great cosmic spectacle?
For what purpose?
Does there need to be a purpose?
Is the ride not purpose enough?
Is there a better view than where we are?
Is your nature like mine?
Is it tied to action?
When fate makes the opportunity can we not help but make the moment?
Don’t you want to act upon it?
Don’t you want to take from it all it’s worth?
Can you leave a single spec unexplored?
Don’t you want to experience it all?
Don’t you want to savor it?
Are your desires not demanding it?
Are we not nature itself?
Shouldn’t others be observing us?
Can you stand to let them stare and reconcile the meaning of our nature?
Can you stand to let them walk past as we live it?
Is life not better spent in passion?
Do you feel safe in their philosophy?
Don’t you want to feel the pulsing of your heart next to mine?
Don’t you want to race with me like these stars?
Don’t you want to experience the view?
Is it not each other we are really watching?
Aren’t we two objects each in our own space?
Aren’t we both used to being the center of the universe?
Do we not both produce our own ecliptic planes and orbital systems?
How did we get here?
I mean are we not in the midst of a common gravitational interaction?
Are we both orbiting a common mass not centered upon either one of us?
Can’t you feel it pulling us toward a common point?
Which one of us is going to slip first?
Can it even be described as slipping?
Shouldn’t it be described as leaping?
If we got to close would our systems collide?
Would everything we knew be made over?
Redefined?
Would it all be flung into new regions of reality?
Would the pull of the dark matter surrounding us be too much to ignore?
Would we merge under the tug of gravity?
Would we reshape into a single elliptical force?
Would we finally be able to answer the burning question?
Which came first the chicken or the egg?

For those times when you meet someone whose creativity helps spark your own... when their passion for their art mixes with yours and something special happens... you are able to create something worth creating ;)
