GODS PEACE FOUND ITS SOULS SIGNIFICANCE
My life took on new meaning
AROSE IN CUSTODY STALWART ARMS HELD
Holding you in my arms
DESTINIES CROSS AFFECTED
Two fates meeting– Tiny fingers entwined with mine
BRIGHT BEAMING JUDGMENTS ENTRANCING
Looking up at us with dazzling smiling eyes
RESPLENDENT AS THE SUN’S HALCYON DAYS
As radiant as the sun in summer
PERSUADING CREATIONS REVELATION
Coaxing nature to display
OF A PERFUMED SOVEREIGN OFFERING
Its most fragrant gift
UPON OMNIPOTENT STAGE
In broad array
DIVINELY DISPLAYED
As if to present
AS IF TO EXCLAIM
Or to say
HALLELUJAH
All praise be to GOD
FOR UPON THIS PROFOUND INTIMATE EPOCH
For on that day
DID GRACE’S MEASURE FULLY REVEAL
I was given the gift
TRUE LOVELINESS
Of a daughter
AND A FATHERS LOVE
Thanks be to GOD

* I used a translation (italics) of the words in the first story to tell the second story
* I used my Daughters name Tressa (Summer) Rose (natures way of saying Hallelujah - all praise be to GOD) to help tell both stories.
Note: I was challenged to write a poem... a significant moment in my childhood... I was to keep it mysterious... I elected to tell the mysterious story of my second birth... as well as tell the story of my becoming a man... the day my first child was born... the day I started truly living for someone else...
