If a bird arrived at a swim meet;
or a fish wanted to fly,
If a tree needed to hike;
or a vertebrate photosynthesise?
Then you may shout incompetent!
A flash of righteousness across your eyes.
But what of cormorants, or exocoetidae;
what too of cashapona, or salamanders?
Competent! It seems,
despite your expectations.
