Summer Breeze

On a walk, many
Brown-Eye Susan line
the border, before the woods.

Rain clouds move closer
as if to give a hug, while
Cicada serenade with
a constant song.

Warm breeze of Summer
blows through my hair,
as memories cross my mind,
of bare foot days and
water play... laughter,
of children, echoes.

Thankfulness arises for
what I have been given
and for a chance to
live,  another day.
