To Skylar Evans...RIP
She said she’d always be there, but she never was.
She said she’s help me through it all, but she never did.
I was in a spiraling downward fall facing death, its piercing eyes staring into my soul.
Nothing I could sat or do could help me.
I cried out for help but no one could here me...
No... no one would listen.
I screamed for relief and it helped me...
No... it hid the tears and scars.
Everyday with my mask nestled comfortably on my face i would hide the truth.
I looked happy, I sounded happy, I acted happy...
But it was all lies, because underneath that smile, was a crying girl...
I screamed one last time... and they heard me...
But it was already too late, i was made a girl with wings...
This poem is about my cousin(RIP). She committed suicide when she was 13 because of how her mom and dad treated her and because of all the harsh bullying she went through at school. To anyone out there who feels like giving up...don't, just stop and think about what you'll leave behind. My cousin left a younger sister(age 5) and lots of cousins and family and friends who did lover her. Skylar we miss you...RIP.
