A voice never heard

To Ashley Dunn, RIP little soul

For a moment,
All is silent,
Silent to hear a pen drop,
But yet a voice of a child cannot be heard.
It’s too late,
All sound comes back and the voice is drowned out.
The child screams louder but it sounds like a whisper,
She isn’t heard,
She suffocates and floats away.
She is a soul that walks this earth now,
A work of art, lost in time.

Ashley Dunn was a seventh grader who took her life on the 7th of March. She went to my old middle school. I knew her as an acquaintance while many knew her as a friend. N one noticed her pain, and those who did never spoke up. Speak up for those who can't. RIP Ashley Dunn.
