You see through to my soul,
I constantly cover myself,
Trying to block your view to no avail,
I fear what you might see,
Whether the view is a good one,
I myself am not sure if I like what is there,
But your smile reassures me,
When I am responsible for it’s appearance,
My wish is to know you,
Your deepest desires,
Greatest fears,
What brings a tear to your eye,
And laughter in your heart?
The small things throughout your day,
Which bring a smile to your face,
But my wish will never be fulfilled,
For I will refrain from simply asking,
Never shall I utter a word,
Only relying on what you wish to reveal.
