STORM COMING.

An observation of the impending from ,"Tranquillity" breakfast nook

STORM COMING.

Mountains of lead grey loom ominous,
In the distance… drifting closer… soon upon us,
The wind stiffens and a steady breeze is now blowing,
Telltales of the impending are now readily showing,
As I purvey from my bay window perch, the spectacle keeps growing.

As the flashes get brighter and brighter,
The booming sounds grow louder and closer and closer.
First sprinkles at random, like a song without rhythm,
Then a torrent unleashes with abandon like a rock bands unbridled religion.
The cacophony of sounds melting my resolve away,
I will not be going out to work in this weather… today.

As nature delivers her relentless abound,
I am lost in the moment of this most soothing of sound.
It feels warm from where I sit and stare as if… for the very first time,
Lost in the magic unfolding in front of me so sublime.
Foul is not the adjective to describe what I see.
Rather nature’s magnificence and full bounty unfolding as I sip my warm tea.
