Vera Sofia

Portrait

You’re the mirror I look at
the flaws I see are only in me
I’ll work on them
until I can only see you
through the eyes of my instinct
like a mirror after a hot shower
that I will caress until it is clear

If you ever meet me after a shower
make sure you wait until the sun comes
if it was a rain;
make sure you’ll wait until the skin dries
if it was a bath
cause I might not be as clean as you
I might smell after a long journey
but joining our senses
we might create a new perfume
spreading a new fragrance
so the atmosphere will have a memory of us like a mirror
waiting to be confronted
desiring to be seen
