Peace and Power

Peace and quietude, rivers sleeping,
silence all around, waters stilled,
nestled inside a loving womb,
of mother earth, leveled river banks,
peace and the immobility of peace,
the home of contentment,
of no desires to wonder and wander,

until the tilting of the river banks,
the stirring of the stagnant mind,
the gradual flow of mobility,
the desire to feel a power,
an influence to leave the womb,
a hand to push,
a vigorous touch against the body,
a dashing past the jagged rocks,
a journey into the unknown,
a ride to the edge of the world
enveloped by a relentless power,
a falling off the edge,
a feeling of danger,
a surge of adrenaline,
a half life made whole,
of peace and a touch of power.
