His tower stands high above the call
Of all who would cry before their fall
There they stand with their feet in the sand
And the sailors try but they are banned
The police are restless and come about
The minister sighs but not in doubt
As Charles the king looses his power
But the captain remains high in his tower
The cry is up “this is the wrong place to be”
We should all now be far far out at sea
Away from this place the restless crowd
But all the rules state, “This is not allowed”
The day’s end arrives and night-time falls
And the towers light begins to stall
Those who are left begin to crawl
Away from the base of the towers wall
The captain’s face is then lost from view
It’s motor stopped this is all untrue!
The people stare they were unaware
This falsehood that has trapped them
In anger they turn upon this place
In rage the tower falls without a trace
Now with eyes turned down they walk away
Never more do they speak of that day
