Solitary Mind

The Burden Of Guilt

In the shadows of our minds we throw stones,
At those who get in our way, we seek refuge alone.
Comfort in diversion, but echoes remain,
Creating walls where bridges once spanned the terrain.

Trust, a fragile thread, torn with each claim,
Friends become strangers, love flickers to flame.
In the mirror, our mistakes are concealed,
Only the faces of the offended are revealed.

Growth stunted by a refusal to see,
Lessons unlearned, missed opportunities flee.
Weeds in the garden choke potential’s bright flowers,
Leaving us adrift, with no thriving hours.

Anger festers, a wound left to bleed,
Disappointment seeps deep, tangled in greed.
The burden of accusations, a weight on the chest,
Crushing our spirit, depriving us of rest.

In the halls of our lives, poisonous air spreads,
Accusations like wildfire, igniting dread.
Creativity stifled, collaboration lost,
Fear takes its root, at a significant cost.

Conflicts flare up, raw and unresolved,
Guilt stands as a barrier, leaving issues devolved.
Voices rise high, yet they do not sync,
Solutions buried deep, drowning in the brink.

Yet within us, the power lies to shift,
To turn the mirror, to grow and uplift.
With empathy, grace, we can mend every thread,
Rebuild trust anew, where we once feared to tread.

Ultimately, our strength is found not in blame,
But in love that we offer, not seeking acclaim.
In understanding, forgiveness, our hearts will grow bright,
Choosing hope over accusations, walking toward light.
