Solitary Mind

A Promise

The days have become colder than before,
Like stories that hold everything.
Now, the dances we desired are here; isn’t it fitting?
They wrap the world in a gray cloak.

So quiet that I hear
My thoughts reach your heart every moment,
In the long hours I spent waiting.

With the full weight of opportunity, tell me,
Will there be another chance to express,
How much I miss you?

We soared together, with wings spread wide,
No height could keep us on the ground.

No sacred place we couldn’t touch.
Yet, something in us still burns.

I do not regret the decisions made
You will ever feel the same?
Do you know, when I think of you,
How many times I’ve searched the skies,
Hoping to find you there?

My emotions will not fade easily;
I cannot forget what was said.

When the warm winds return,
Will another year pass again?

Please, don’t ask why I am here
Something in me brought me back,
More than just a need to remember.

The lost moments remain, even though time stands still;
I will keep our memories in my heart.
No more pain, no more feeling,
For in the silence, I seek the light,
A promise that transcends all.
