ravens wings
The sullen call of the ravens voice
as their flapping wings flood the sky
A blanket of seamless black floats
carrying the night to the other side
Drifting late the soaring swirls
Swoop and twist in a calm unison
Their shadows fall upon the land
where nobody cares to look for them
Enigmatic their ghost like ilk
a dense forboding grips my thoughts
what portent lays at the heart of it
a combustible explosion of clouds die
The ravens eyes like ebony orbs glisten
as darkness careers it way to the helm
On all who dare to tread or mock
the raven delves your nightmares, tick
