it erodes me
my steep that you make waves in
it houses me and you
we’re clinging to an artists dirty wash
this acid bath strips me
its burn and sting my penance of you
as you stand and smile through rituals
we grasp at succinct kisses
this long soak melts me
it renders me down to a nothingness
I’m all that you’ve made this love to be now
directed mutely to an idle pointlessness
this tin bath has gotten rather cold
memories that might have lived longer die
I will still think of you in the kind regard of a smile
though you left me to steep.....to dissintergrate
