Love Is What It Seems
Love, it’s true, has many faces
Many are the paths it traces
It’s held by some in high esteem
And lost by some in shattered dreams
Though quite elusive and often blind
True love’s light will always shine
It’s not so hard to understand
True love is always what it seems
Consider love, if you can
Between a woman and a man
When passion rules instead of reason
It only lasts but for a season
When guidance comes from up above
It binds two hearts in endless love
Love has no patience for foolish schemes
It longs to share in lovers’ dreams
True love is always what it seems
Without condition for a child
A Mother’s love is in her smile
Without regret, she gives her all
To help a child grow strong and tall
She asks for nothing in return
But that her children only learn
A Mother’s love is always what it seems
The highest calling for a man
To be a Father, to take a stand
To love his children and his wife
To give his all, to give his life
To lead them through uncertain days
To guide them into Heaven’s ways
He hides his love at times, it seems
but a Father’s love is always what it seems
The love that fills an earthly heart
Can give us hope and light the dark
But souls require a greater love
That’s only found in God above
He gives his love to all, you see
And only ask that you believe
No greater love can man receive
The love of God is always what it seems
