And No Song Befell Us

A devastating delay, In-direction;
Wars throbbing erection.
On this acoustic world, the boots of anger march.
In the mud, impressions of hijacked souls;
Run, run, run... on blood-bound soles.
Destruction like this, so swift and non-selective;
Obtains it’s goal with no objective.

Post-destroyed; Defused Android!

Ground-zero hero:
    In a pseudo-Messiah’s future tomb.
Archaic chord thus wailed;
    From infinity’s waning womb.

.... and this
    a forward crawl
    to absence
    devoid acclimated
    over time
    disassociation
    naturalizes....

    SONIC-BOOM!

Pre-ringing toll; Empyrean bell.
We await the arrival of distant swells;
Couriers of the 'stand-by’ travelling chimes.

Better late than never.

    BLITZKRIEG!

Quick and clever,
From our ears,
The high tone:

    SEVERED

Left deafened, we turn inward;
Making covenants with the flesh,
And the feel of it.

Dull becomes the spirit receiving no praise.
And in finding no good cause in spirits dull,
We keep them in immaculate straits;
Stuffed and crammed,
Inside of heart crates.
Quarantined;
Behind closed-eye-gates.
A 'Real Presence’?
—A Real Waste.

Amid strong, persistent vibration;
  ...We await still the ringing.

I have to say that 90% of this was written sixteen years ago, despite the '2013' tag.

Ah wow! This one packs one hell of a sting!! Didn't anyone tell you that this boat is long past full and lacking paddles? I guess there's always room for one more love sick soul, I'll let you share my seat! I give it a 10.2!

As true today as it was yesterday and will be tomorrow... like only the great ones are!

I'll share a seat with you any day love, and we don't need no stinkin' paddles!.... A 10.2! yessss! :)

Yeah it's funny how that works. This is only half of the original, but I thought it would be too long in it's entirety. Besides, now I have two poems to post instead of just the one. Since I've been tweaking the second half, they're completely different in every way.... Bonus! :)

I want to read a new Callyope piece!
