Joy And Comfort

...and I know I am not worthy of your eyes or ears,
For these are words of a man distraught
Because I have touched flowers and they blacken
I have spread deceit and contempt amongst good men,
I have kissed God on his cheek.
 
Some of your seeds have yet to also bear fruits,
So as a boy - with fork in hand- I stand with you,
Lowly and disappointed as to what we have to offer on harvest day,
Maybe we can find comfort in dry land, and joy in thirst.
For some day our tears will water down our soil.
And we could at least grow weeds.
 
We are the flaws of nature...
