Fireworks in the Skies
A sudden bright flash
Followed by a sonic boom
Then heavy downpour
The wind blows the clouds away
And blue skies return to stay
Fireworks in the skies
In the dog days of summer
When heat suffocates
Welcome respite for us all
While we await autumn cool
In the frigid winter chill
Miss the dog days; we sure will!

2yHow true. We welcome those fireworks don’t we ? I know I do because they represent the coming rain that sometimes cools things off so we can sleep better.
