Misfits and Free Spirits
To those who live to love
If you are living in hell we’ve been there too
But we got out
And they remember our names
As the misfits and losers
Who were revived out in the world
Who came back to let you know
There’s more than this out there
There is love and free spirit
There are long nights with strangers willing to listen to your stories
And listen closely when they tell there’s
There are amazing people you could only dream up
The kinds of people you read about in story books
But they are real
And so are you
The moment you let go of whatever your holding on to
You will be shocked to find what you’ve been pushing away
You will find freaks
Who are musicians
And sculptors
And painters
And poets
And authors
And these are the people who capture the beauty of the world
And display it for you to see and hear and read
And if that doesn’t make you feel I don’t know what will
Cause we are the people who don’t wait for things to happen to us
We make things happen
And we are the people who don’t look for magic in the world
We create it
And we are the people who don’t preach to others that what they are doing is wrong
We simply do not do it
Cause we are the people who don’t fight for peace
We live it
And if enough of us do this
It may become normal
So come on and live like tomorrow is already over
Like the bad of the world does not exist
Graffiti all over the walls of the world because sometimes what we need is a little bit of colour
And let young people be young
And let old people be young too
And don’t get caught up in why our world is broken
Just let it be fixed
Because I believe that people are mostly good
So stop making things simply to destroy other things
Just make things simply.
