Rewind the Clock
If I were 22 and you were 21, I would invite you over and we’d have so much fun.
If I were 22 and your were 23, I would show you what it’s like to really love me.
If I were 22 and you were 25, I would take you out and let you drive.
But if I were 22 and you were 20, I would have to tell you, “no thanks, I have plenty.”
So, if I were 22 and you were 24, I would scream to the roof top, “hey you give me more!” But I am not 22 and neither are you, so for now let’s just do what we have to do. Maybe one day, we will both be 20, but today, we understand that the years are too many.
It's never good to look back at life because life is too short! Besides, we should always be moving forward. Nonetheless, every once in a while it's nice to dream that you were 22 and playing in a different team.
