Un "True Love"
Why does once upon a time
Sometimes feel like such a crime
No Happily Ever After
When once, I was so very sure
The one I would’ve had and held
Another happy ending failed
A Christmas morning memory
Was never truly meant to be
Seems I was a means to an end
For one I loved, who was a friend
I flew too high, and I got burned
But now I am fine....lesson learned

Sometimes, we want someone so badly that we ignore every single internal alarm that goes off. We hope and dream that they may be as wonderful as we have imagined them, only to awake to a nightmare. The important thing is to learn from it. True love is the most beautiful and powerful force on this Earth. Don't ever lose hope.
