Worth Saving

Your dream doesn’t have an expiration date. Take a deep breath and try again.
KT Witten

It’s a frightful curse
That breaks families apart
Because love departs
In its place comes emptiness
Void despair and loneliness

It breeds pure hatred
To children, pain and anguish
When glad times vanish
Yes, all will play the blame game
Finding fault everyone’s aim

Malignant cancer
Crushing all in its clutches
Ruins what it touches
The black blight lasts many years
Root cause of sad angry tears

A grave disaster
There’s no tragedy greater
To those near and dear
For what’s been put together
Now in shambles asunder

Forgive and forget
Then live life without regret
Perhaps the answer
If only it were easy
Life and love will be breezy!
But whatever’s worth saving
Need work that’s unrelenting
