the waiting room

yes, we’re all here
in this big waiting room
soon as we stepped out
of our mother’s womb!
her love nurtured us;
and still sustains us
everything else
in this world just superfluous

waiting for a train,
we endure life’s dichotomy
we exist, we survive;
maybe not as we wanna be!
we weather joy and sorrow;
health and sickness
good, evil; light, darkness;
sanity and madness

always a war within us;
and it tears us apart
we pray the waiting will end,
have a fresh start!
we’d board the next train
to our final destination
where dichotomy shall end
in eternal communion!

like we were in our mother’s womb,
innocent and pure
unblemished by the filth and grime
that we endure
as we wait for the train
in this big waiting room;
hoping our next lives shall be
as sweet as heaven’s perfume!
