Early, I woke to greet the day
To watch the sun rise, bright and clear
Its golden light in soft array
As morning’s promise hovered near
The dawn unfurled in pastel hues
A gentle blush across the sky
And with it, joy began to fuse—
A thrill that made my spirit fly
The sea lay calm in silver swept
As sky and ocean joined as one
And, breathless, all creation kept
Its vigil for the waking sun
In awe, I watched the colors blend
A world reborn, no trace of end
Then came the sun, a fiery arc
Its blaze igniting sky and sea
Each spark a thrill, each shade a mark
Of something vast, yet wild and free
Mid-morning’s grace in full display
While vibrant hues of dawn withdrew
Gave rise to clear and shining day
With sunlight cast in gentler hue
With every breeze, the branches swayed
And leaves cast patterns, soft and slight
While morning’s quiet strength conveyed
A calm that filled my soul with light
As dawn’s bright fire gave way to peace
My spirit soared and found release
