A Sonnet
This faded photograph, so worn with years,
Tis all he has to keep her memory
Its colors pale, still emotions it stirs
A relic saved, the past a reverie
Within his wallet, safely it shall stay
A treasured piece from days he can’t reclaim
Though time may blur what once was bright and gay
Its sepia sheen still whispers her sweet name
Her gaze remains, unyielding through the night
Her face unchanged, though seasons come and go
He misses her warm laughter, pure and bright
The love they shared, a fire no one could know
This fragile keepsake, all he holds of her
Keeps close the echo of times together!
