My shadow and I Once played hide and go seek I closed both eyes Not once did i peek I counted to the highest number
A poem’s a poem If it ends in a rhyme A poet’s a poet If he writes in spare time A poet grows famous
I once was a wolf I followed a pack I grew out my hair Till it covered my back I howled to the moon
He was the greatest gladiator That came from a distant land He never had to pick up a sword All he threw was sand He knew what he was doing
There sat a house Above the ocean They say when in it To not cause commotion If it were to teeter
I’ve decided to write a poem Where everything rhymed with time It would become a famous poem And the jealous would cringe As I called it mine
It’s been a week Since I left my house The snows blocked me in And I can’t get out It’s really a bother
I covered it in blankets Even gave it a thermometer I called up my doctor To see if he could save my monitor He said he’s no repair man

Brooke got her name Because she likes to babble Teller got his name Because he likes To tattle Shaky got his name
So I tried to talk to that girl t… But not a single word could be fou… So I decided to just go out back And bury my head in the ground
I would much rather be a nervous b… Chewing off my nails Than have to be a nervous fighter Getting nervous in a jail
You can hide it in make up But I know it’s still there A face designed Only to scare You can try to distract me
When you look at the world flat You see nothing but squares It all looks the same Lines all put in pairs Faces look straight
I sat there on my couch all night And waited for one to come out These things are hard to catch you… If you move they scatter about Finally it poked out it’s nose
