False Empathy
You’ll cheer for the thief on stage and screen -
Root for the urchin and crook.
Believing yourself of judgement most keen -
Why throw that aside with the book?
What of the chav; 'have not’ to your 'have’.
Or the gypsy no village will brook?
No welcome provided; Society divided -
No wonder your mower got took!

I think the inspiration came from years of dealing with people who whine about a broken society but make no positive contribution.
