I was thinking about how punctuation, especially 'accents' affect the way we perceive words.
It struck me that we place 'accents' on our thoughts influencing our attitudes and how we feel.
Circumflex is the ^ over a letter to denote something 'taken away' or to discern the difference in meaning between otherwise identical looking words...
Grave and acute are also 'accents' used in French etc
The cedilla softens the 'c'
