GRANDMA’S TREASURES

To her grandmother, whose values
Taught her well.
That no matter how she hurts, to remember her soul,
She never wants to sell.

Though she felt at times, she was
Stubborn as a mule.
She taught her well, of games people play, that
She can now, see through.

All the church gatherings and square dancin’,
She had her do.
Taught her of the love and experience,
To get her through, when she’s feeling blue.

She’ll always treasure these moments
They had together.
Those morals, values, of her grandmother
For there is no other
Like you.
