Songs of the Colors

Songs of the colors and the air therein
the stories, the moods, the joy, the chagrin
music of the solace and music of the pain
music of the drought and of the falling rain

the color of heaven adorned in virgin white
and the consecrated trails of the angel’s flight
the whites of the silken clouds as they drift
looking out over Sacred Earth from their lift

and the pink colored clouds at the dawn of day
telling the yawning sun to come out and stay
and the music pushes it along its steady climb
into the crimson colored clouds at twilight time

and the ochre colored fires loom in the soul
as Satan stakes his claim in the land of Sheol
and the music is a dirge to the Isle of the Dead
and the soul is blackened as the angels fled.

Songs work their way into the ears of the spirit
and put moods inside and show how they befit.
They put romance in red deep down inside
and shades of blue to change the tide
as the song is played and the spirit listens
to the music as it plays on and on and on.
