Release the Wolves

“Release the wolves young man of
poetic aspirations and proper thought.
They live in your system and rebel
against all structural conformity.
They are the playful madness in your
being that tries to get out of your mind.
Tear down the fences that keep them in.

Let the wolves out through your
inhibitions that you shackled them with
and send them into the jungle
where they belong and
where they are free to run.

Your inhibitions are the boundaries
that you erected in your being from
the words fashioned by
public sentiment that keep the wolves
at bay in your mind. Wake them up with your
whimsical thoughts. Break the rules of
proper sentence structure that make up
the rules of proper prose.

Think of a beautiful woman and think of
what she does to you. Find that soft spot
in your heart and find the words to define it.
Think of what you would do to
find your way to her.
Find the wildness in your
loins and bring it out in word form.
Write about the frenzy in your prose and
release the wolves to help you along the way.”
