Where Am I Now?
Where will I be at the end of today?
Instead of that place in yesterday
Where will I be in that tomorrow?
Will it be the same, and what about my sorrow?
Where is now on this long and winding road?
(if ever moving is the wheel)
Should I take a chance and from the future steal
What then should I feel?
Would my guilt keep me down at heel?
What would be the price to pay?
If I could be taken away from today
My shadow only left in place
To slowly fade and leave no trace
What then after I have gone?
When in some memory is the only place that I belong
And when after time my stone erodes
all that’s left is a line of code
Where will I be then?

Note: What happens when we are gone? We do not and cannot know .Do we live just as a memory inside another's head? And when all those persons who remember us are gone, what then? Well these days our “Data” will probably remain on some digital server somewhere, as just a line of code! Until the system decides there is no longer any commercial use for it and it is finally then deleted....
