The judge looked sternly upon the defendant
. . He asked in a posh voice– how do you plea
. . . To the allegations of cannabis cultivation
Possession of hashish and herbal cannabis?
The composed man in the dock replied thus
—M’Lud, I declare in good conscience I cannot
Plea guilty nor innocent . . as I do not bilieve
. . That the cultivation of any plant is a crime
It goes against my bilief and logical sensibility
. . That the peaceful activity of cannabis utility
Can ever be a crime, especially as there is not
An injured party, no harm is done to any person
There is no criminality in cannabis combustion
To claim possessing a piece of organic matter
Is an illegal act worthy of punishment is injust
This bogus cannabis act tis detrimental to the
True rule o’ law, an’ a miscarriage of justice that
Weakens the judiciary, bringing dishonour on it,
In all good conscience I cannot plead as it is my
Sincerest bilief I have not transgressed any law
Cannabis law is invalid and is falsely enforced
Flabbergasted judge din’t know how to proceed
A flustered judge sed– you have to plead, If not
How can we judge you? And determine guilt??
Is cannabis law an erroneous man made rule??
