Like sweet sea breeze,
Against the sails first unfolding.
Sheets hard creased,
And ballast molding.
After untold years,
In harbours holding.
Air to lungs,
Never breathed so deeply
Blood to veins,
Never pumped so fiercly.
Light to eyes,
Never seen so clearly.
Calm to thoughts,
Never felt so freely.
I have not known love,
Like what you’ve shown me.
And so I thank you,
For what’s a ship...
...without it’s journey?
