So long I breathe
The hails and storms I will ignore
let alone the blistering sun
suffocating my skin
On a cold winter’s day
when I shiver and stutter
like a car engine frozen
Pity me not
for it is well with my soul
So long I breathe
On these dusty waves of life
I will try to inhale oxygen
Exhale carbon dioxide
and put it behind my back
I will dig deep inside
to find that shining stone
It will appear one day.
So long I breathe
On this narrow road I will drive
For it is getting wider
Every time I get closer
Worry not for I have eaten
or drank that source of life
Throw a match stick
and set ablaze what I pass by
It’s on His will for me to live like this
and I shall dwell till He calls my name.
