Honey do

In a home where love’s light lists,
“Honey do’s” are sweetened twists.
Tasks penned with a loving kiss,
Moments in life we shant dismiss.

She writes with a smile, her script so fine,
A list of to-dos for this heart of mine.
Paint the fence, fix the door,
With each check, I love her more.

“Honey, fix that squeaky floor,
And could you please paint the door?
The garden’s wild, the grass stands tall,
Make it a haven, a retreat for all.”

So I toil and sweat, but with delight,
For her wish is my command, day or night.
Each task done, a step to please,
In our love’s diary, such chores are a breeze.

For every stroke of her pen doth write,
A chapter of love, in the sunrise bright.
And as the sun sets, tasks are all done,
We sit back and bask, two hearts won.

Her lists are more than chores to do,
They’re sonnets of love, honest and true.
So I’ll take up each task, with all the joy I can enlist,
For in her “honey do’s,” our love flourishes and persists.
