I like the loneliness of solitude,
I like the peace of Gods Grace,
I ran with the devil,
But could not take the pace,
Now wisdom is in getting stronger,
And old age makes us live longer,
I walk alone for dignity and peace,
For no man can bring that release,
So I call no man my friend,
Happy my company to lend,
So that we can pretend,
To hate each other in the end,
And in that walking away,
My back and his do stay,
Free and out of harms way,
And that’s perfectly OK.
