Deliverance

Flying aimlessly
In the sprawling sky
From east to west
Up to the horizon
And again diving down
The sportive bird
Appears as it were to
Gauge the blue of the sky

With eyes full of dreams
The playful bird flew
Up in the morning sky
Makes suitable sojourn
Returns tired under the shadows
Of hazy twilight
Accepting any familiar
Or unfamiliar tree
Unhesitantly as its haven
Like a rudderless ship
Groping in the sea
Looking for harbour
For coincidental sojourn
Unsure of schedule of
Time for heading for destination
Intends to spend the dark night
And overcome the fatigue

Of flying for the whole day

Flying indiscriminatingly
Over cornfields dark clouds mountains
Looks different
Losing previous zest
Agility vibrance and dream
Like an aeroplane
Looking for destination airport
It is scared to stumble
Against any invisible object
And fall into the sea or river
Craves to be in the flock
And rest for the night
In exclusive nest
No matter if it is
Nest of lotus petals
Or cage of twigs.
Full day of freedom
Makes the bird aware
That deliverance is only
Possible through detachment.
