I love my neighbor
and the Holy Spirit
That’s why I’m so nonviolent
I write a lot
because my brain
runs for miles
Stopping only to contemplate
These thoughts
that pop up like
Daisies
So I guess you
could say
I’m pushin’em
Love for the immigrant
Makes me look political
But I swear that I’m not
I would much rather dismantle
this modern-day Rome,
than submit to this
divisive throne
I wish not to dehumanize the other,
but to characterize the unknown
So that hopefully
when we look into the face
of our enemies
We see our brothers and sisters
