Ariadne, by John William Waterhouse
Francis Aparici

Wickedly Seductive...

she flashed her wickedly
seductive smile,
all resistance melted,
a scoop of ice cream
on a hot summer day;
and i stood beguiled
by her striking looks,
seen only in a dream!
and she knew for sure
that i’ve been taken,
a willing hostage
to her stunning beauty;
a reluctant voyeur;
my will badly broken.
to resist is futile,
even if it’s my duty!

i put up a gallant fight
to no avail, for sadly
i know i have lost...
but do i look unhappy?

I think it's the only occasion where I would lose but not unhappy. Hahaha.

Yes! I'd rather lose each and every time. Hahahahaha

That is one battle that I would be glad to lose.

@Robert L. Martin You and me both. Sorry late reply

Thank you @MD

I usually try to resist briefly, then..complete surrender.😀
