Fade and Beauty

In gardens fair, where flowers bloom,
Their fragile beauty met a cruel doom.
Deprived of life’s essence, pure and bright,
They withered away, a mournful sight.

No gentle kiss of sunlight’s embrace,
No life-giving draughts to quench their space.
A lonely pen, steeped in ebon hue,
Stained their petals, sealing their fate anew.

Upon their leaves, a pallbearer crept,
A raven’s tread, a somber step.
Its clawed feet crushed the fragile frame,
Leaving behind a desolate, silent name.

But midst the gloom, a whimsical spark,
A gentle whisper, a loving bark.
For in the sorrow’s darkest plight,
Love’s melody danced through the night.

Though flowers fade and beauty may depart,
Love’s eternal flame forever shall start.
In every wither, hope shall rise,
A testament to love’s enduring prize.
