The Man Who Could

The Man Who Could. He could do anything. He could be anyone. He could be anything. This man had a God given power to control life, control time, control people, and so much more. But what was he to do with this power? Days would come and go as he would force people to cry or become depressed. Why was this? Because he never knew what happiness was. See when you can control everything, what is reality to you? What is a world if it is made in your image. There are no emotions, no opinions, no love nor hate in a world where you make the rules. And if that is the way you have to live, then why live at all? This man would force women to love him and enjoy their company as they smiled and said they loved him. But did they? He would never know. He spent his life causing so much pain that he could never tell what people would feel because around them they wore smiles like masks. He wish he new the truth but his mouth always spoke the dishonesty of his heart. If his mouth whispered “kill yourself”, his heart meant love yourself. If his tongue spoke hatred, his heart meant love. He lost sanity once he had it all. He was the man who could force love and force hate. The man who could make the world stop spinning with one gesture. The man who could change lives and destroy them. With all this power he was given, he was the man who could not bear it. No more questioning if someone loved him truly. No more wondering if the next man or women to leave the earth was his fault. He was the man who had to leave his world because it was HIS world. The man who could, soon became the man who should. Should’ve made world peace, should’ve made things right, should’ve banned all souls from pain and suffering. Should’ve stopped himself from leaving his life to go onto the next. Now the man who could, is the man who couldn’t. R.I.P
