Author’s Remarks:
As my regular readers, students and, of course, those closest to me are all fully ware my poetry as indeed my other published works are all based on observational situations as well as my personal objective perceptions of these, and this particular poem you’re either about to or have just read is no exception.
The young lady featured in this poem is real, 27 years old and a friend who in conjunction with her divorced parents I’ve personally known for the last 17 years.
Bright, socially well-adjusted and universally liked the views expressed by here are honestly held and genuinely her own. However, they are by no means or any stretch of the imagination dogmatic, insular, self-opinionated, remotely contemptuous or derogatory of opinions contrary to her own; as she’s definitely not that sort of person.
None the less she does honestly and readily concede that since most human beings instinctively long to know to whom they naturally and genuinely belong, it would be better if all children consciously conceived were done so within the bounds of lawful matrimony.
