The Meaning of It All, IMHO
Meaning is inherent to language
And language is inherent to human beings
So, meaning is inherent to us humans
What does this mean?
That’s open to interpretation
Making all of us interpreters
And everything we do and say
An interpretation of God’s word
One rule of thumb, though–
To the degree possible
You should say what you mean
And mean what you say
I say
To the degree possible
Since most people don’t want to hear (or speak)
The God’s honest truth
Because it implicates them
Which is why we have an unconscious
To protect each and every one of us
From the truth that implicates us
This truth is that the reason we would die
If we looked God in the face
Is that we’re so afraid to say the truth to His face
That we would die of fear if we told Him the truth:
We’re afraid to die
And so, we hate Him
But in God
The truth is staring us in the face:
We are to fear Him
Because He loves us
And death is nothing
In the face of a love
That goes on forever
