I Can’t Wait, Therefore I Do
Wedding the Shabbos Bride
The wait is heavy
So, I choose to carry a heavy weight instead
And where the wait is exhausting
The weight is strengthening
As long as I rest between lifts on Shabbos
So that I can lift even more in the days ahead
Because, as you may have noticed
The heavy lift is getting heavier
With every passing day
But what goes unnoticed
Is that it is simply impossible
For this weight to exceed our capacity
Since it is the effect size caused
By our relationship with God
And when the relationship goes deep enough
Cause and effect will merge into one
And there will be a wedding
The likes of which has never been seen
Because the party will last a thousand years
And we will all live to see every last second
