A need for change

Dawn broke
unveiling a world
intricately woven  in ethical landscape,
balance pirouetted effortlessly across its veneer
Goodness was truly good  -
Compromise remained uncompromised  -
Truth, the native language, streamed off tongues.
 
 
 
Dawn broke
bringing forth new depths of wonder
where trust was tangible
Moral compass was the director
Character replaced Caricatures
Peace replaced conflict rooted in ignorance of differences.
 
 
Dawn broke
and I awoke, alone -
encrusted  in  memories of  a peaceful world -
a  place my being yearned to call home -
only to savor its  taste of existence in dreams.
There is a need for change

Written in the dawn of Syria and memories of 9/11. May peace be with us.........
