Is desire truley so
Until laid within fire?
Burning with actions never said
Eyes to commit deeds where bodies never shed
Risk and secret, held til dead
++++
Beneath the power of hidden desire
Feeding flames that climb ever higher
Threatening to swallow walls that refuse to aspire
Can such thoughts feel base and still never tire?
Unless one where to sacrifice thy control
To burn down thy security upon the pyre
From soul unto soul there a fume would transpire
To offer up sanity to chains locking beneath again
All to slack passions that slave deep within
+++
Could it be such a curse therein?
To destroy said need by surrendering, then begin
What bodies only whisper thin, echoing what eyes deep within are
screaming
A fault among men?
Names cried writhing in dream, yet silenced as sun ascends
So begins a need forcing the body to bend
+++
Forget, can you a look that is tasted?
Should one forgive temptation wasted?
Desire speaks neither it’s definition nor namesake
Until laid forbidden where one cannot slake
This passion corrupted that gives and yet takes
Setting fire to the spirit, tied to the stake
The sin of screaming martyrs of the broken vow.
Tortured with the salt of sweat upon the brow
Flames licking skin where such hearts do
allow
Screaming Martyr of the broken vow.
+++
Tis not yet the crass and common I relay
But the infatuated, helpless, betrayal
The line of obsession thin, between love and play
Here two strangled by their own passions lay
To drink up the soul of the wanted
For there is one want above the needed
And it lies without ties and love
To pour the drink of purest lechery
For skin to be the hand and glove
Is it perversion or a needed beauty
Drinking only til the bottle empties
Til the fuse burns down to its destruction
To see the pass of an amusing distraction
+++
To relish “the end” and be without
When those open lips on the flame blow out
The fire to ember, nothing remaining but haze
And each can walk slow their separate ways
+++
For arms wrapped around another neck
Becomes the noose and soon the scaffolds beck
The adverse conflict of contradictions
Both blinding ecstasy and agony
An affliction then grim addiction
Hinting at the travesty of vanity
+++
Awake! Must one show restraint?
For a single look can shake!
Until resolve, weakened, will break
Under forces do the guilty, make
Bled of the vein of desire to give way
+++
Pledge and vow may then be undone
Thru that timeless tome the bled obey
The myth of man and muse breathing as one
Exhaled forever upon time they’ve laid
Guided thru needless Shame to betray
This ancient pair doomed to lead two bodies astray
Their gaze do devour the mortal away.
+++
Yet is it such a tragic web they weave?
So difficult for mortals to admit or perceive
This ageless yearning to seize another
Share the body and soul, of a loveless lover
Yet the soul must be present for pure intent
A game, to liberate by refusing, just to relent
An enigma hellbent or from paradise sent?
Desire within fire to take then repent.
+++
It is as eternal as wind, from water to sand
Must discipline and desire go hand in hand?
The moment when rules can take no stand
It is ever as we know it the insatiable demand
+++
What is said between lips that touch is matched by bodies
Yet paled by the unknown speech exchanged through eyes that
mirror the soul
Desire is where one soul inhabits two bodies
Where right and wrong hold no sway.
