Dangerous Beauty

The white snow, thin
Like sand, over
The fields, blowing
Across the road.

My car rambles
Past farms, stained
With clear ice;
Cattle wander, they
Exhale, a warm
Fog, into the air.

The sun is hidden
By grey cloud,
That rolls quietly,
Over the land.

Winter, with it’s
Dangerous beauty,
Has this day,
In it’s hand.

(2013)

Travel on a winter day which can be dangerous but so beautiful at the same time.
